The AppleCare Protection Plan is subject to terms and conditions, which are provided on the AppleCare Protection Plan website. - To qualify for the AppleCare Protection Plan, your product must be within its one-year Apple hardware warranty.
- A separate AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased for each Apple system to be covered.
- Onsite service for desktop computers is available within a 50-mile (80-kilometer) radius of an Apple authorized onsite service provider in the country where the plan is purchased and enrolled.
- The AppleCare Protection Plan covers an Apple keyboard and mouse when they are included with a covered product. An AirPort Extreme Card, an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Apple RAM are included in the coverage of the computer with which they are used.

Ordered the apple care from Amazon at a significant cost savings had I purchased it direct from Apple. Got free shipping to boot. Once it arrived, stuck the disk in, followed the directions, input my serial number of my computer, and the code from the apple care and viola! Done! Easy as that! Will also be buying my apple care for my new iPhone 4 from Amazon in the near future.

...As in the standard 1 Year Warranty becomes a 2 Year deal. Applecare adds on a 3rd year so basically I'm paying $119 (educator discount) for 1 year of extra coverage. My last 2 iMacs lasted 5 and 4+ years, respectively.
The House (Apple) wins this sucker bet again. An earlier review had it right: Data loss is going to be your most expensive nightmare and it's definitely not covered here. Your choice.

Amazon is not willing to update the product specs about limitations in the fine print per each state use of the agreement. I had to get a full refund from Apple and buy it directly from them because Fla. wont allow applecare via 3rd party. Be warned. Call Apple first. Shame on Amazon for withholding important info.
