I settled on the ASUS VW266H after looking at similar offerings from HP and Dell. This monitor was larger and had better reviews, so I decided it was the one for me. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. There were no dead pixels (which was what I was worried about the most) and I was able to set it up immediately and enjoy it. Sometimes it seems a little on the bright side, but fixing that is as simple as turning down the brightness or using one of the pre-configured settings. It has four different video inputs that you can switch between with the push of a button and two built-in speakers that, while not great, will do in a pinch. It's not as though you'd be buying a monitor for its speaker quality anyways; you want a great, clear picture, and that's exactly what you get here. I read a few reviews that said the screen has different color tints when looked at from different angles, but I've never found that to be the case. All in all, this is a solid monitor - great picture, great price, and great quality.

I have 3 of these monitors running Eyefinity. They work great in the setup and you have to purchase the active display port adapter in order for the Eyefinity to work. The presets with the monitor are great and always make it easier to change modes during different times of the day or for what type of work your doing on the computer. Adjusting is simple however, it bites not having lights on the buttons. Having lights is a feature i see all monitors lacking on their buttons for settings so i'm not taking any stars off for that. Colors are nice and vivid especially in scenery mode. I use this mode for surfing and all else except gaming. Using the game mode is the best while gaming. The blacks become to black if you use scenery mode while playing a game. It comes with VESA standard wall mounting holes in the back. All you do is pull off the panel and their they are. For the price you pay for this much real estate your getting a great deal with high quality performance.

If you look at the display with a downward angle, the display will tint red. If you look at an upward angle, it will tint green. This tinting is very apparent when viewed from a distance of 1.5 feet or less. From a distance of 2 feet, it is there, but more subtle (perhaps not noticeable to some people). THIS is the kind of information that ASUS/Amazon should willingly cede to the consumer. Because they don't, I give it a 1-star rating - some people will be very unhappy with it, and will feel duped. Other than that, the monitor is fine, and worth the money as long as you don't sit too close.

I have no complaints for this monitor. The price for a 26" 1920x1200 monitor is great - I paid almost $2000 several years ago for a Samsung monitor with the same resolution: this monitor is it's technological superior. Image is sharp and colours are bright.
